Brownstone Maids was conceived to meet the needs of the brownstone community's growing concern about the environment, both in terms of our home environment and its impact on our lives and that of our families, and also our behavior's impact on the larger community in which we live. Our home environment affects our physical and mental health in the most basic of ways. Dust, mold and paint chips can all be potential health hazards. Clutter and debris can interfere with our sense of calm and prevent us from functioning efficiently in our homes. At the same time, many of the chemicals traditionally used to clean our homes can be just as hazardous to our respiratory and neurological systems.
